The Mecalac is a multifunctions wheeled machine that is easy to operate, although its functionality would make you think otherwise.Four clear control menu’s make it easy to manage the Mecalac.
The turning circle The Mecalac protrudes minimally both at the boom side and the counterweight side which enables it to rotate 360° between facades in narrow alleys at distances of 2.68 meters (10MSX), 2.76 meters (12MXT) and 3.2 meters (14MBX).
The offset
Thanks to the offset adjustable boom it is naturally possible to excavate exactly in front of the wheels, but also up to 1.0 meter beyond the wheels. Which makes it even possible to dig a straight groove behind for example the crashbarrier.
The lifting capacity
Because a Mecalac can retract its boom very far, placing the main arm behind the centre of gravity, the Mecalac can lift just as much as a wheeled excavator one and a half times its weight. Also, over the side substantial lifting is possible, thanks to the telescoping stabilisers.
The working radius
A Mecalac does not only reach high, but also maintains a decent distance from the wheels, which enables you to work far in the pit from the embankment. Thanks to the extra boom joint the Mecalac can also work very close to the machine.
View on the work
The main arm is located next to the cabin. This means that the view is not obstructed as is the case with excavators. Thanks to the short counterweight the machinist has little to reckon with what goes on behind him. The location of the cabin at the right side provides proper view on parked cars and/or cyclists in heavy traffic.
More possibilities
Several hydraulic functions can be added to the Mecalac for example for a stone grab or a scrap sorting grab.
Boom extensions for mowing buckets are also possible.
Mecalac's Easy Drive System automatically corrects the arm cylinders to a chosen position of the bucket or the attachment.
All-terrain capabilities
With the articulated undercarriage, a powerful engine with hydrostatic 4-wheel drive, a self-locking differential and a wide reciprocating angle of the rear axle give the Mecalac excellent capabilities in difficult terrain.
