CSR

In making efforts to operate with corporate social responsibility, Ahlmann Nederland has subscribed to the BMWT quality mark “Duurzame Bedrijfsvoering” (sustainable business). Aspects such as people and the environment have already been priorities at our company for many years. The CSR principles are accordingly widely applied in real terms.

  • Social and Societal

We devote a great deal of time and energy to training employees. Besides refresher training this also involves retraining. Ahlmann Nederland is an accredited training company with two instructors in service.
Our policy also incorporates involvement in what happens in society. This is demonstrated by means including support for usually local initiatives. Ahlmann sponsors various associations and events, sometimes in kind and sometimes financially, in both the sporting and cultural arenas. Our company disposes of an AED station. Ahlmann moreover helps make the AED-equipment available at different locations in Bommelerwaard.

  • The Environment and Sustainability

Our field technicians and low-loader drivers have followed the Dutch eco-driving programme “Het Nieuwe Rijden”. As a result we save on fuel costs while also reducing our impact on the environment. Our instructors also teach machine operators to use their equipment in a more eco-friendly way on the sites.
Besides these initiatives, in 2013 a total of 336 solar panels were installed at the workplace and demo hall. The panels supply a total of 87.36 kW, which accounts for approximately a quarter of our own energy demand. Fluorescent lighting has also been replaced by energy-saving TL5 and LED lighting including fittings.

  • Objective

Our objective is to achieve a real CO2 emission reduction. The management is constantly in search of new possibilities to cut emissions during our operations. Staff – at all levels and in all departments – are made aware of the measures and encouraged to apply them in practice.
